About Retro TV
Retro TV was a popular destination for viewers who enjoyed watching classic television shows. The network's programming offered a nostalgic look back at some of the most beloved television shows ever.
The Retro Television Network, also known as RTN, was an American digital broadcast television network that primarily aired classic television sitcoms and drama series from the 1950s to the 1980s. However, it also included more recent programs from the 1990s and 2000s. It launched in July 2005 on select television stations owned by the Equity Broadcasting Corporation and was later acquired by Weigel Broadcasting in 2014.
The network was originally branded as "RTN" but was rebranded as "retro TV" in 2013. In 2019, Weigel Broadcasting announced that it would shut down the network on December 31, 2019, and MeTV Plus replaced it on most of its stations.
